I Look Inside There are times when I’m sold On the story they’ve told So little light to guide me through grey skies that moan so now I’m reaching out for someone to tell me you’re good as you are So damn tired Of trying to reach for that star So I look inside and I yearn Lost in the way that I thought we would burn But now I’m just sitting here Stranded in a blanket of rain Will it ever be That good again ~ There are times when I hold on So tight to it all And times when I turn my back and run Yeah but all that means nothing When she comes to call And all my masks fall If there is one thing I’ve learned From the journey we’ve made It’s that I can’t put my fate in One other place But to the path I’ve been given And the will to create The man I wanna be So I look inside and I yearn Lost in the way that I thought we would burn But now I’m just sitting here Stranded in a blanket of rain Will it ever be That good again ~ Copyright 2008 David G.
